Christmas apple salad with pineapple, raisins, and walnuts:

We love experimenting and discovering new combinations for salads for you. This Christmas apple salad with pineapple is full of sweet ingredients and a sweet dressing with a surprising ingredient, condensed milk, which gives a very special touch.

Let’s check out the recipe for this salad.

Ingredients:

– 3 Ambrosia apples.

– 100 gr of peeled walnuts.

– 150 gr of pineapple in syrup or fresh.

– 1 carrot

– 200 gr of sour cream or sour cream. If you can’t find it, you can make it with 200 ml of liquid whipping cream and 1 dessert spoon of lemon or lime juice.

– 2 tablespoons of raisins.

– 1/2 teaspoon of dessert dill.

– Condensed milk, quantity to taste. I have put 100 gr.

– Cherries in syrup to decorate.

Preparation:

– To toast the walnuts, put them on a baking tray and bake them at 180ºC for about 7-10 minutes, stirring them when they have been half the time. As a useful tip, if one day you have turned on the oven, after turning it off and it is still hot, place the walnuts in it on a tray, leave them for 10 minutes, stir them a little, and another 10 minutes or until you see that they are golden brown.

– You can also brown them in the microwave, to do this, put the walnuts in a microwave-safe container with a little oil and cook them at maximum power until golden brown: give them 1 minute, remove them, stir them and repeat batches of 30 seconds until that they take this golden aspect.

– To make the sour cream, put the cream (which should be very cold, fresh out of the fridge) in a small bowl and add the lime or lemon juice. Mix a little with a spoon and in a matter of a few seconds (between 5 and 20), you will see how the cream suddenly takes shape and becomes very dense so you will have the sour cream ready. Keep it in the fridge until you are ready to use it.

– Wash the apples well in cold water, core them, and cut them into pieces to your liking.

– Chop the walnuts into small pieces.

– Peel the carrot and grate or chop it with a mincer or robot.

– Cut the pineapple into pieces and, if it is natural, remove the brown outer part and also the central area that is harder.

– Put the apple in a bowl together with the pineapple, sour cream, dill, half of the raisins, and the condensed milk and mix well. Taste it to see how sweet it is.
