  • You can use 100 grams of caster sugar or brown sugar. It depends on your preference.
  • One hundred grams of butter is enough.
  • One tablespoon of golden syrup.
  • One tablespoon of bicarbonate soda.

Directions

Preheat the oven to 180°C. If it is a gas oven, preheat it to 160°C. Mix the oats, coconut, and caster or brown sugar in a bowl. Melt butter on a pan. Use two tablespoons of boiling water for mixing with a tablespoon of bicarbonate soda. Stir it with butter and also mix golden syrup in this mixture. Mix this butter, soda, and golden syrup mixture with the oats mixture.

Stir both mixtures gently to incorporate dry components. You require a buttered baking sheet for cooking this mixture. So, take dessert spoons of this mixture and place them on the baking sheet. You can bake these in batches. Bake the cookies mixture for ten minutes until golden brown.
