Mac and Cheese must be one of the favorite meals of America. It is easy and quick to make a dish that you could have for dinner. To prepare for Mac and Cheese, here are some ingredients you are going to need.
An 8-ounce box of Elbow Macaroni, a quarter cup of butter, a quarter cup of all-purpose flour, half a teaspoon salt, ground black pepper according to taste, a couple of cups of milk, and a couple of cups of shredded cheese.
The Recipe: Since it is an easy-to-make meal, it only requires a 3-steps process to make Mac and Cheese.
- The first thing you need to do is to put a large pot of lightly salted water and boil it. Now put the Elbow Macaroni into the boiling water and cook it. Keep stirring it occasionally until it is been cooked through but firm to the bite. Cook it for 8 minutes and then drain the water.
- Now take the 1/4 cup of butter and melt it in a pan while keeping the stove on medium. Take flour, salt, and ground black pepper and stir it until it has gotten smooth. It usually takes about 5 minutes.
Then pour milk into the flour mixture slowly and keep stirring it for 5 minutes until the mixture is smooth and starts bubbling. Now you have to add the Cheddar Cheese into the milk mixture and keep stirring it until the cheese has started to melt, it would take about 2-4 minutes.
- The final step would be to mix the whole thing until the cheese sauce has coated up the macaroni, and it is done. Your quick and easy meal is ready for dinner. It only takes time when you are making it for the first time, after a few tries, it should not take you more than 15-20 minutes to make Mac and Cheese.
